One month bod update

It has been one month since I decided to start blogging about my adventure of creating my Holiday Beach Body! My very motivated first post, I swore off sugar and carbs and told myself I would workout everyday! 
Well to say the least Im and imperfect human and didn't do as I wanted exactly! Lets really review how much i've worked out in the last two months and since my very first post.

The month of October:
12 days, 12 out of 27 (I don't count sundays)

Since I wrote my first post (October 21 to today November 20):
14 days, 14 out of 26

The month of November so far:
7 days, 7 out of 26 

 So since October 1st to November 20th I have only workout:
 19 days total, 19 out of 43 days

UGH!! thats less then half! To say the least Im slightly embarrassed! Mostly because I know I could have done better and I know I had the time to do better! 
I haven't keep a food log on what I have been eating everyday but after reviewing my workout, Im stating to think I should cause Im sure it would be just as shocking! I feel like I did okay on food! I tried really hard to cook things that were high in protein and low in fats and sugars and incorporate more veggies and fruits. I know for a fact that I had more treats then was necessary though and Im sure that totally ruined a lot of my days! 
Im literally realizing how amazing it is to keep a written log! This has been such an eye opening experience so far! 
I definitely need to be more disciplined!

Just a few things and a few recipes.

On a much more tasty note. I absolutely have to share the yummiest recipe ever! Last night we made tomato basil soup with grilled cheese sandwiches and baked sweet potato fries!
ummm... Yum!!
I've totally made tomato soup before and its always "okay." Well I want great!! So yesterday I found the "great" recipe and thought we'd try it. Well Im glad we did!!  My favorite thing about this particular recipe is that it calls for only fresh items! Nothings canned. (accept the chicken broth) And its yummy!

Heres what I did for two people and we had left overs!

Tomato soup:
Puree in Vitamix or blender:
3 Large tomatos cored
1 normal sized red pepper 
1/2 sweet onion 
1/2 a carrot 
1/2 celery stalk
1/2 can of reduced sodium chicken broth 
2 tablespoons whipping cream
1 1/2 tablespoons honey 
1/2 teaspoon basil 
1/4 teaspoon pepper and salt

Once its blended into a liquid, warm up on stove with the lid and let it simmer for a little bit.

Yes I added a few things! But it only made it better!
This is just a really healthy and tasty meal! and I love that!

Grilled Cheese Sandwiches:
 sour dough bread with american cheese
grill on panini maker
(I only had a half)

Sweet Potato Fries:
3 sweet potato's pealed and cut into fry shapes
2 tablespoons olive oil (coconut oil)
1/2 teaspoon salt 
1/2 teaspoon pepper 
1/2 teaspoon garlic 
1 tablespoon corstartch

preheat the oven to 450. Put everything in a baggie shake it up until potato's are coated. poor onto a cooking sheet and bake for 35 to 40 min

So much yummy and healthy in one meal!!!

Happy November!

I can't believe its already November! It seems like time fly's by the older you get!
But I just love Fall and the Holidays! I think its probably the funnest time of the year. Lots of activities, good food, and such a happy spirit in the air! 

So the last couple days of october was really rough, To many treats around and I had a hard time finding time to workout! And then the first week of November I was so busy with work I struggled to find the time to workout! And on top of that I got sick. But really these are just excuses!

Isn't that the truth!

The total number of days I workout in november was only twelve! (eeekkkk so bad) But keeping a calendar on my mirror and really tracking the days helped so much! I would definitely suggest trying it. October must be better:)

The Husband and I have decided to go down the path of "Insanity." Im excited about this! A few summers ago I did these workout tapes and absolutely loved them!
They are very challenging and I find that to be motivating!
They are also my kind of workout; Fast pass, high cardio, get in and get it done, no messing around!
Im also sooo excited that Chase is going to do them with me!
And the best thing is that they work! You really will see results! As long as you are eating healthy and doing the videos consistently! I was amazed at how my body transformed the last time I did them!
I will probably try and still mix in running and some other things while we do these videos, just to keep things interesting! Ya have to keep things interesting while working out or you'll just get bored!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! 
I'm being super lame and not dressing up this year! Oh well!
So this morning I got up before work and went for a run (okay I didn't have to be to work till 11.. But still!!) andddd I must say I'm extremely grateful for my lululemon winter workout pants! Honestly I felt rediculous spending one hundred dollars on workout pants but this morning they paid off! This is going to become a problem! I can feel it! I already know I want a matching winter workout top, hoody, gloves, socks, and ear warmer! Of course I can justify all these thing cause it's cold outside! Haha my poor husband!
Anyway I've been enjoying my runs, it's helping me get to know the neighborhood better! And I must say I'm falling in love! It's so adorable! 
I don't know if any of you have ever heard of the app "Mapmyrun" but it's awesome and you all should download it! This app keeps track of all the runs you've ever done! It tells you every time you reach a mile marker! You can share your routes and look at other routes people have done! I love it! It makes me feel more accomplished knowing how far I've run!

 Jumping Jacks- 50

 Squats- 20

 Squat Jumps- 10

Alternating lunges- 15 each leg

 Upper and Lower Sit Ups- 15

 Burpees with jump- 15

Push- Ups- 20

 Mountain Climbers- 50

 Crunches- 30

Plank Hold- 60 seconds 

Repeat 3X

Here it is

im in love.

Tonight were getting together with the Kimbal brothers and there wives! Its gonna be fun! Were making breakfast for dinner and since Im eating clean Im bringing over my own waffle recipe! Im coping my cute friend Sarah and her recipe found on here blog The Fit and Simple Life
Good stuff! 
Here it is: 

In a blender mix:
1/2 cup oats
2Tbs Greek yogurt
2Tbs almond milk
5 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla or almond extract
Sprinkles of cinnamon
1/2 mashed banana (optional) scoop of protein powder (optional)

I didn't workout yesterday cause I literally had no time! 
Ya ya ya.. I could have got up early before work. But to be honest I will never be able to do that! Im not a morning person! 
But its friday and my day off today, so that means no excuses! 

Todays workout:
Run 30 min
Roughly 3ish+ miles! 
Here we go! 

One reason Salt Lake is more fun.

Its happening.

So for my wedding this summer I put in hair extensions! Yes I loved them! But were they nice to my hair? Not exactly! So tomorrow I'm cutting my hair off. Right now its a little bit past my collar bone but its extremely thin and damaged! So Im cutting it right past my chin! 

The so cute new and trendy cut, The Blunt Bob! Ekkk Im scared!
